TMC is keeping a close watch on the developments, says party spokesperson Kunal Ghosh The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday arrested West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in connection with its probe into the School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment scam case, where transactions worth crores of rupees were allegedly made for the appointment of teachers recruited through the SSC, his advocate confirmed. This is the first arrest by the ED in the case. Chatterjee, the state Parliamentary Affairs, Commerce and Industry, and Electronics & IT Minister, earlier held the education portfolio. “Yes, he has been arrested. We have not been given the seizure list or the arrest memo yet. He will be produced in court today. We have been asked to come to CGO Complex,” Anindya Raut, Chatterjee’s advocate, said.
