MBBS students confused about new qualifying exam, say ‘try NExT year’

 Some experts believe that the constant back and forth is confusing students even more, especially when the NEET PG aspirants have been preparing for the exam for three years and are currently busy with their final university exams or internship. NExT: The National Medical Commission (NMC) recently announced that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, will conduct the National Exit Test (NExT). The Commission had also hinted earlier that the NExT is scheduled to begin with the batch passing out in 2024. Following the announcement, AIIMS also issued a timeline and started the registration process for a mock test on July 28. Indian Medical Association seeks a relook at proposed exit exam for MBBS students

 The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has appealed to the National Medical Commission (NMC) to take a relook at its proposed exit examination for all MBBS students in the country, which will now be the licentiate exam and post graduate selection exam. The IMA said that nearly 50% of the total medical colleges in India were set up only 10-15 years ago, thus the standard of such colleges could not be compared with the colleges that have well-trained teachers and systems. 4 AIIMS students held for operating NEET exam racket

Police said that the head of the gang has been identified as Naresh Bishnoi, a second-year student of AIIMS Delhi.  Police have so far arrested accused Sanju Yadav, Mahavir, Jitendra and Bishnoi. The Delhi Police has arrested four persons for allegedly operating an exam racket where they took money from National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test aspirants in exchange for Rs 7 lakh, and made their gang members appear in their place, officers said on Tuesday. Police said that the head of the gang has been identified as Naresh Bishnoi, a second-year student of AIIMS Delhi. Police said that he had approached many students of the institution to join the gang by luring them with money. Police further said that Bishnoi made first-year students appear for the NEET exam in place of his clients by getting Rs 7 lakh from them.
