The Common University Entrance Test will be a common entrance test for admissions into 54 central universities and 88 universities in total in India, which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency. In a move that is a potential game-changer for higher education in India, the government has recommended conducting a Common University Entrance Test (CUET). In CUET 2022, we saw a record number of applicants (Approximately15 lakh), applying for different UG courses across all the participating universities. A total of 90 universities did participate in CUET 2022 . Both these numbers are expected to grow significantly for CUET 2023. The move is aimed at reducing the pressure of higher cut-offs in most of the reputed central and other universities.
